Devotion: God is in Control
College is one of the most stressful times of your life, or so I think. With all the papers due and exams to study for; it seems like the day is never ending. This past week I had a huge exam in anatomy and two papers to write all due on the same day. So I worked as hard as I could and then just hoped for the best not quite sure what the outcome would be. That morning as I was rushing to breakfast and stressing out, I got a text from a friend and it said to have a good day and that he was praying for me. That made me realize that I needed to pray and give all my worries to God. For me, that is not the easiest thing for me but I knew I couldn’t go through today without God. So, I gave God that day and let him take full control of the day and it was amazing. Everything went smoothly and stress-free. The cool thing about that day was everything went better then I thought. I had energy to complete what needed to be done, and I really felt that God had my day in his hand. That made me realize that God is always in control and has a plan for my life. Too many times I try to control the world and how my life should go instead of giving it to God. It is easier said then done but during a stressful time in your life, give it all to God. He will provide and he is always in control.
Matthew 6:34 “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
